Costa Garcia - Industrial Equipment SA, was founded in 1964 in Oporto. The Company initiated its activity with a commercial outpost located in the center of the city , where C&Gtraded tools and accessories for the general industry and for automotive industry.
Afterwards thanks to the entrepreneurship and strategic vision of its founders and profiting from an optimistic environment of greater industrialization, Costa & Garcia extended its range of skills and began, among other activities, the industrial production of machines.
In addition, our company initiated its internationalization process and obtained several foreign representations also established strong commercial relationships with worldwide brands.
In 1968, Costa & Garcia began producing compressors and created a new industrial brand - CIATA.
Benefiting from Portugal’s proximity relation with relevant international markets, Costa Garcia began exporting its products in 1972, initially for Angola and Mozambique, and later, to several countries in Europe, North Africa and Brazil.
The company stands out for the diversity and quality of all of its products and the reliability of its services. Besides, the industrial production notes with pride that their brand Ciata has been honored with many awards: Best Brand Ciata compressors, welding equipment and equipment lubricants by APmagazine.
The company is has its management system certified by ISO 9001:2000 / 8 and is a leading SMEs distinguished by IAPMEI since 2008.
